Helen Marie Colgan

Helen was born in Baltimore, MD on March 10, 1955, and died July 18, 2024, in Tulsa,
OK. She was 69.

Helen was the fourth child born to Roland Bartlett and Sarah Ann Colgan. She
graduated from Mercy High School and Strayer Business School. Helen was best known for her love and compassion. She gave of herself to everyone she met. She had no acquaintances-only friends. Helen was a positive force and always made one feel seen and special. Her kind heart knew no bounds-whether it was helping a friend or giving money to the many charities she participated in and believed in.

Helen made California her home when she married and started a family there almost 40
years ago. A resident of both San Francisco and Pacifica, Helen had a variety of careers; most recently with the Nature Conservancy and the San Francisco Zoo.

She moved to Oklahoma to be near her sister two years ago. Within months, she was
making friends, walking her new puppy Benny, and searching the neighborhood for fellow
Democrats and 49er fans.

She leaves behind her beloved son Daniel Tipple, his father Jack, her grandson Talon
Tipple and granddaughter Madison Tipple, her sister Mary Kollmorgen and husband
Steve, a beloved niece Sarah, loving cousins and many other nieces and nephews, and of
course, many friends who Helen considered to be family.
