Helen Lorraine Wright was born in Ness City, Kansas on December 2,1918 and moved to Denver, Colorado at an early age where she attended school. She departed this life on April 2, 2017.

In 1953, Helen married L. Harold Wright at First Presbyterian Church with Edwin Miller presiding. Their marriage lasted 50 years, ending with Harold's death in January, 2004. Helen cared for Harold the last 3 years of his life and continued to live in their home until moving to Inverness in 2008.

Harold and Helen were constant companions. They went fishing, hunting and bowling together and also belonged to Tulsa Men's Club. They enjoyed formal dances at Southern Hills Country Club every month. They also enjoyed entertaining in their home. Harold was a great outdoor chef and Helen was an excellent cook.

Helen's mother lived with them for 27 years. She was precious to both Harold and Helen.

Helen happily volunteered at several places including Hillcrest Hospital, Tulsa Boys Home and First Presbyterian Church. She was a past president of Tulsa Men's Club.

Helen raised two children, Ronald Dayton and Faye Swanson, who both predeceased her. She thought of these children as her own.


Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, April 10, 2017 at Kerr Chapel, First Presbyterian Church, 709 S. Boston Ave.
Visitation will be held 5pm til 7pm at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st.
