Henry Guthrie passed from this life on Thursday April 18, 2019 at his home in Coweta, Oklahoma. Henry was born on November 20, 1937 to Morris and Lavella Guthrie and was the third out of their five children. He graduated from Coweta High School in 1957. In 1958 Henry enlisted into the United States Navy, obtaining the rank of 2nd Class Petty Officer, and honorably discharging in 1964.

Henry was married to Mary Roden in 1964 and they remained happily married until her passing in 1998.

Henry was a machinist by trade, and worked for CE Invelco until his retiring in 1987. Later he went back to work for the Broken Arrow School system, and retired from there in 2011.

Henry was a true outdoorsman; fishing, hunting, and most of all gardening were his passions. He loved his neighbors, community, family, and his church family at Davis Chapel.

Henry is survived by: son Chris Guthrie of Coweta, Oklahoma; daughter Serena Goss of Louisville, Kentucky; sisters Virginia King of Augusta, Kansas, and Jane Ann and Carol of Pennsylvania; and a myriad of cherished nieces and nephews.

Henry, thank you for your life and the joy it brought to our lives.
