Henry Hershel Smith, 55, of Tulsa, OK, passed away Sunday, July 17, 1977, at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, OK. He was born on Thursday, November 10, 1921, in Tupelo, OK, to Grover Smith and Laura (Goorley) Smith. He was married to Lela (Allen) Smith, and a Telex operator. Henry is proud to have served as an Airman E-5 in the United States Air Force in WWII. He is survived by his wife, Lela; mother, Laura Smith of Dustin, OK; 2 brothers, Charles Smith and Raymond Smith, both of Seattle, WA; and a lifetime of friends. He was preceded in death by his father. Henry will be greatly missed in the days ahead, but his spirit and memories will live on within each of us, because we were privileged to have him in our lives.
