Herbert Harold Bell, 88 of Tulsa passed away Friday, February 23, 2018. He was born April 30, 1929 in Tulsa, OK to Martin and Beatrice Bell. He was retired as Hospital Administrator for Good Samaritan Hospital, Mt. Vernon, IL. He served during the Korean conflict, where he received the Medal of Freedom. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He was assistant administrator at St. Mary's in Enid, OK and assistant administrator at Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring, MD and was Head Administrator of St. Catherine Medical Center in East Chicago, IN. Herbert enjoyed watching westerns, woodworking, genealogy and photography. He was a bicyclist enthusiast and enjoyed helping the boys in Boy Scouts. He was a registered tribal member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. Herbert is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nancy Bell; his children, Rebecca Bell Bradshaw of Puerto Rico, Jan Gillespie and her husband Jack of Tulsa, OK, Matthew Bell of Saudi Arabia, Gregory Bell and his wife Carol of Galloway, NJ, John Bell of Tulsa, OK; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, James, Leon and Bill Bell; his sisters, Mary Helen Pitts and Juana Melekian.
