Hester Mae Walker's Obituary
Hester Mae Walker, 98 passed away August 6th, 2014. Hester was born December 29, 1915 in Star City, Arkansas to parents Dave and Hattie Shannon. Hester grew up in the Odd Fellows Home in Checotah, Ok. She graduated from Checotah High School and attended the Oklahoma College for Women for two Years.
She married Kenneth Walker on July 16, 1937 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Where they were members of First Methodist Church for many years.
Hester was a member of Ranch Acres Garden Club. She enjoyed playing bridge with her bridge club and enjoyed life.
Hester is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, daughter; Linda Pate and grandson Tanner Roche.
Hester is survived by three daughters; Nancy Roche and husband Tom of Bedford, Texas, Betsy Ross and husband Jim of Tulsa and Janelle Malone and husband Jim of Stillwater, OK. Ten Grandchildren, Five Great Grandchildren.
Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 11, 2014 at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.
