Hilda Knox Betts of Tulsa passed from this life on February 5, 2026 at her home in Tulsa. She was born on October 30, 1930 in Alturas, Florida to Anthony and Vera Harkey. She had three older sisters, Kathryn, Sybil, and Elaine and has a brother, Adrian "Bud", and a younger sister, Beth.

Hilda graduated from Bartow High School and Southwest Missouri State College where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She remained active with the sorority throughout her life.

She was married to C. Frank Knox, Jr., MD in 1952. She and Frank have two sons, Michael F. Knox, MD of Grand Rapids, MI and Alan F. Knox, DVM of Wimberley, TX. Michael has three daughters with his wife, Joan Zolnierek-Knox: Lauren Elizabeth Knox, Lisa Christine Knox, Lindsey Catherine Knox and a son: Michael Thomas Knox. Alan had a son, Eli Frank Knox, and has a daughter, Hannah Leigh Heaton with his former wife, Brenda Knox Lubeck. Hilda has two great grandchildren from Michael: Giselle Marie Marsh and William "Liam" Knox Rosenbloom and three from Alan: Knox Matthew Heaton, Beck Elias Heaton and Jude James Heaton. Alan is married to Cindy Burns Knox.

Hilda taught elementary school in St. Louis, MO, prior to having her two sons. She, Frank and her sons moved to Tulsa in 1959. She was an avid tennis and bridge player and a devoted wife to Frank for 50 years, until his death in 2002. She married Donald Betts in 2006 until his passing in 2011.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and faithful member of First Christian Church.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at Moore Funeral Home at a date and time to be determined. Hilda will be buried alongside Frank and his parents in Springfield MO.
