Homer Leroy Bath, born in Bristow, Oklahoma on September 29, 1926, entered his heavenly home January 5, 2023. His parents were Homer Charles and Maggie Bath. He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Dean Bath, of 75 years. They were high school sweethearts and were married June 8, 1945 at Buckley Army Air Field in Denver, Colorado.
He is survived by two daughters, Debby (Ray) Price of Springdale, Arkansas, and Kathy (David) White of Coppell, Texas. Grandchildren: Lance (Rebekah) Price of Springdale, AR; Jason (Beth) Price of Dallas, Texas; Spencer (Leigh)White of Coppell, Texas; Lindsey White and Scott Podsednik of Colleyville, Texas.
Great-grandchildren: Landon Price and Layton Price of Springdale, AR; Rylan Price and Sienna Price of Dallas, Texas and Gage White and Fowler White of Coppell Texas.
He was a member of the Boston Avenue Methodist Church for 48 years.
After graduating from Bristow High School, he joined the Air Force and went to Sheppard Field, Texas for basic training and then to Buckley Army Air Field in Denver to be trained as an air mechanic, but was soon shipped to Japan to serve in World War II.
After being honorably discharged from the Air Force after the war, he worked on oil rigs in Bristow, OK then join Sun Oil Company and was transferred to Conway, Arkansas from 1954-1974. He then moved back to Tulsa where he was a supervisor for Sun Oil until his retirement.
He was an active member of the Kiwanis Club and was a 32nd degree mason.
Poppa, as he was called by his grandchildren, loved country music and visited the Grand Ole Opry many times with Mamie. He loved square dancing and two stepping. Another one of his passions was trout fishing. Poppa and Mamie loved going to Yellowstone National Park and spent many summers there. They also traveled all over the United State pulling their travel trailer.
