Wheeler, Homer "Gene" - 84, of Tulsa. Husband, father, grandfather, and friend. A lifetime spent in the oil industry, he retired as a technician for the petroleum engineering department of the University of Tulsa. He enjoyed gardening, T.V. sports, the St. Louis Cardinals, fixing things and his koi pond. He will be remembered for his love, compassion, and gentle spirit. He was preceded in death by his wife, Aileen; a son, Dennis Wheeler; and a brother Billy Ray Wheeler. He is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Tuter of Tulsa, Denise Wheeler of Tulsa, & Gena Vann of Tulsa; and two grandchildren, Greg Tuter and Alicia Wheeler and a friend of the family Sherry Walworth.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Monday, November 18, 2013 in Moore's Eastlawn Chapel.
