Howard Andrew Cootes was born February 19, 1930, in Birmingham, Alabama, to N.B. and Irene Cootes. He went to be with his Lord, January 14, 2014. He is predeceased by his parents, a brother, two sons in law, Jack Stults and Ron Roselius. He is survived by his wife, Ona Lee Cootes, two daughters, Roxanna Stults, and Christy Roselius; five grandchildren: Melissa Richardson, Lorie Holland, Ricky Roselius; Kelly Moyer, and Andrew Roselius , and three sisters Francis Sims, Lillie Navarre and Betty Hill. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren. He served in the Navy from 1948-1952. He and Ona Lee married in July, 1950. Howard's working career was with American Airlines. He treasured time with family and friends. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M., Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Moore's Southlawn.
