Howard F. Fine was born March 29, 1925 to Harry V. and Myrtle Royster Fine in LaRue, Arkansas. He was one of eleven children born to Harry and Myrtle. He spent his childhood in Arkansas working on the family farm with his siblings. He moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to live with his sister, Meda Rogers, and her family so he could attend high school. He graduated from Central High School in Tulsa at the age of 24. He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict and was stationed in Germany and was honorably discharged in 1952 with the rank of Sergeant.

He returned to Tulsa and resumed work at Fourth National Bank and began his undergraduate degree at The University of Tulsa, graduating in 1961 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He then achieved his Law degree from The University of Tulsa in January of 1963 and passed the Oklahoma Bar Exam in March of that year. Howard married Nell Clinton on February 18, 1955 and they were blessed to spend 62 years together as husband and wife. Howard served as Vice-President and Corporate Secretary of Atlas Life Insurance Company in Tulsa retiring in 1985. His second career was working for Tulsa Abstract until 2014 when he retired a second time at the age of 89. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Tulsa where he was ordained as a deacon under the ministry of Pastor Dr. D.A. Williams. Howard loved the Lord Jesus and his church family at Memorial Baptist where he taught Sunday School for many years.

Howard enjoyed fishing and playing cards and eating out with their friends in the Anniversary Club. Probably his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an encourager to all he met. On Wednesday, June 28, Howard was welcomed home to heaven. He is preceded in death by all his brothers and all but one sister, Eunice. He is survived by his wife Nell of the home; three sons -- Howard Franklin Fine, Jr. (Nelda) of Coweta, OK; Gregory M. Fine (Melanie) of Higginsville, MO; and John M. Fine of Rogers, AR. In addition, he is survived by six grandchildren: Matthew R. Fine (Kimberly), Emily M. Fine, Jessica F. Knightly (Paul), Mark Fine, Kara Fleege (Jon) and Stacie Hanon (Jason). In addition, he is survived by three great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Nickolas and Lauren Fleege.

His funeral service will be Thursday, July 6 at 1:00 pm at Memorial Baptist Church (2800 S. Yale) in Tulsa, OK and burial at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 5, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Moore Funeral Home (9350 E. 51st Street, Tulsa). Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
