Irvin Sugar-Brown Whitehorn, 64, Hominy, OK resident, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021 in Tulsa, OK. Irvin was born to Isabel and Thomas Whitehorn Sr. in Tulsa, OK. Irvin graduated from the Chilocco Indian School where he played football, linebacker position, and he formed a rock-n-roll band called "Blood Whitehorn" as lead singer. He graduated from trade school in Michigan where he learned pipe fitting. He moved back to Tulsa and began working in the pipe fitting industry. Irvin was baptized at Bowen Baptist Church. Irvin was a big OU football fan. His brother and he would attend OU games out of state. He would attend Pow Wows across the nation with his brother and friends. Irvin is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, George Joseph "Joey" Whitehorn, John E. "Porky" Whitehorn and Thomas E. "Sonny" Whitehorn and his sister, Gwendolyn "Gwenny" Williams. He is survived by his brothers, Sango Whitehorn of Tulsa, OK and Aukaboo New Rider of Pawnee, OK; a sister, Winona Whitehorn of Skiatook, OK; nieces, Laurun Whitehorn and Danielle Whitehorn; nephews, Sango Whitehorn II, Douglas Whitehorn, Keem Whitehorn and Karri Whitehorn and many cousins and friends.
