Obituary

Polly Mackey went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 22, 2016 at the age of 88. She was born Nov 23, 1927 in Stuttgart, Ark. She married Charles Mackey in 1945 in Little Rock, Ark and they came to Tulsa for Charles to attend TU. After graduating, they loved Tulsa so much they stayed and made this city their home.

Polly was a keypunch operator when she worked in the work field, but her main job was being a loving mother and a devoted wife. She was active in activities with her children when they were young, always showering them in love and living a lifestyle that witnessed to us all as a faithful Christian. She was an excellent bowler. She bowled at Rose Bowl lanes for many years and was involved in many different leagues. She was a superb bridge player, still playing bridge 3-5 times a week right up until she became ill. She had served as a Chairperson with the WPS bridge club, where she made many friends and was loved by all. She was a member of Eastland Hills Christian Church and had many friends and loved ones there as well.

She was a BIG sports fan loving all sports. Never missing a OU or Dallas Cowboys football game or OKC Thunder Basketball game, but her favorite was watching the St. Louis Cardinals play baseball.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mackey; her daughter Vivian Ann Addington; her beloved parents, John Estel and Ethel Hanna; and sister, Laura Rookard.

She is survived by; her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Diane Mackey of Broken Arrow; her daughter and son-in-law, Annette & Lee Belmonte of Bixby; 4 grandchildren: Kelly Thornton and her husband Blake, Alex Mackey, Sydney Belmonte and Kacie Belmonte and one great grandson that is expected in Nov.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday May 24th from 5pm to 7 pm with the family greeting friends at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK. A celebration of her life will be Wednesday, May 25th at 2 pm at Moore's Southlawn Chapel and interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
