Jack David Coursey, 67, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 06, 2016 at St. John's Medical Center.
Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Jack and Bonnie Coursey he lived most of his life in Tulsa. Jack graduated high school from Rogers in 1967. Jack joined the Navy in August of 1968 and received an Honorable Discharge in May of 1972. In May of 1976, Jack graduated from the University of Tulsa with his Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. Jack spent 10+ years in the oil industry with several companies. Jack started his own company Sarco Lan Systems in the mid 80's. Sarco is a computer hardware and consulting services company and his youngest son took over in 2010 forming Sarco Solutions, allowing Jack to retire. He was an active member of Southwood Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with Sue Ann "his sweetie", laying around on beaches, relaxing on cruise ships, playing games with his grandkids Colton, Zachary, Tyler and Cassi and he enjoyed playing with technology.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Sue Ann of Broken Arrow, father Jack Calvin Coursey of Tulsa, his sister Sherry Ryer of Tulsa, his loving aunt Lavenia Bingham. Jack was very proud of his two sons and their families, Trey married to Laurie and Jon married to Heather. His Family extends to many nieces, nephews and other friends. His mother Bonnie preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 8th, 2016 for viewing from 6pm until 8pm at the Moore Southlawn Funeral Home, 9350 East 51st, Tulsa, Oklahoma. The service will be held on Friday December 9th at Southwood Baptist Church 4020 South 102nd East Avenue, Tulsa Ok at 2pm. Jack will be laid to rest immediately following the service in the Veterans Garden Phase Three at Floral Haven, Broken Arrow, OK.
