Son of Othello Benton Dorris and Flora Eldora Louise (Parker) Dorris. Married July 8, 1920 in Salem, Fulton Co., Arkansas to Glenn Helen Wainwright. They had one son Jack Leonard Dorris Jr. born Aug. 21, 1922 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He married 2nd May Elizabeth Breashers in 1926 and they had 3 children, Ralph, Lorene, and Charles. He worked for Coca-Cola bottling company in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
