Obituary

Jack Carrol Fehrenbacher, 85, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021, at his Tulsa home. He was born
June 4, 1935, in Cisne, Ill., and grew up in Flora, Ill., with his parents, the late Mildred Phillips
Fehrenbacher and Paul Fehrenbacher.

He graduated from Flora High School in 1952, attended Graceland University in Lamoni,
Iowa, for two years and completed his marketing degree by graduating from the University of
Illinois in Champagne, Ill. in 1956.

On Sept. 3, 1955, Jack married the love of his life, Jane Cook, after meeting her at college.
He was most happy with his wife by his side. They were a team in all aspects of their lives be it
in their careers, church work and especially with their children - son Paul Fehrenbacher of
Broken Arrow and daughters Susan Diane Fehrenbacher and Cynthia Ann Fehrenbacher, both
deceased.

Jack worked for Sunray DX in Tulsa and Sun Oil Company for 33 years. He was a minister
for The Community of Christ church and spent countless hours as a pastor and as a bishop of
Oklahoma. A lifelong athlete, Jack played football in college and later shifted to softball then
golf. He loved to attend sporting events, often cheering on and helping with the youth teams
coached by his son, Paul.

Jack will be remembered for his kindness, straightforwardness and comical quips that
usually ended with an endearing chuckle. He loved being a "Grampy" and was an avid
participant in the lives of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved them more than
anything, and the smile that spread across his face when they visited made everyone feel that
love.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Janie of the home, son Paul of Broken Arrow, two
grandchildren, Ashley Fehrenbacher of Tulsa and Paul Fehrenbacher Jr., of Tulsa, five
grandchildren, Makenzie Seffel of Tulsa, Parker Seffel of Tulsa, Payton Seffel of Tulsa, Kell
Fehrenbacher of Broken Arrow and Blakely Fehrenbacher of Broken Arrow, a brother, Neal and
his wife, Janet, of Flora, a niece, Tonya Anderson of Flora, a nephew Tony Fehrenbacher of
Xenia, Ill., and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to Community of Christ for its
campground fund, Oklahoma Mission Center, P.O. Box 335, Warrensburg, MO 64093.
