Jack Edward Hill, 74-year-old resident of Tulsa, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023, in the comfort of his own home. He was born on August 14, 1949, in Tulsa to John and Mary Lou Hill.
Jack grew up in Oklahoma as well as Texas. He spent early education in Texas and middle school in Sperry, Oklahoma. He quit going to school at an early age and instead he would pick up soda bottles off the side of the road to make some money. When Jack was about 14 years old, he received his first golf ball retrieval job with a promise of 5 cents per ball and he was dedicated after that. Jack was in the golf ball business for the next 60 years. Aside from the day to day working life Jack loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. They were his absolute pride and joy, and you could just see the love in his face when looking at any of them.
Jack is survived by his 9 children, John, Jack, Jerald, James, Sherri, Sheila, Linda, Chad, and Paige; his 2 brothers John and Jeff; his 5 sisters Sally, Cyndy, Betty, Barbara Jo, and Peggy; 18 grandchildren, Mason, Logan, Madison, Shelby, Taylor, John, Jamie, Rhyan, Tylor, Ryan, Hannah, Jacob, William, Jessica, Melissa, Harper, Ryker, and Millie; as well as 3 great-grandchildren, Malia, Carmen, and Heidi. He is preceded in death by his mother Mary Lou, father John Hill, and his son Brian Hill.
A visitation for Jack will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home - Southlawn Chapel at 9350 E 51st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145. His funeral service will be on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Moore Southlawn Chapel. Following the service, there will be a graveside service at 11:30 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery.
