Jack Lee Hubbard of Tulsa, Oklahoma left this earth on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 to be reunited with his beloved wife Dorothy.

Born in Picher, Oklahoma on August 23, 1930 he was the son of Henry G. Hubbard and Madeline Walker Hubbard. He attended Commerce, Oklahoma high school and graduated on May 27th, 1948 just one year before his good friend Mickey Mantle. Jack joined the Marines and proudly served his country in the Korean conflict. After his military service he attended the University of Tulsa where he studied civil engineering. He was a civil engineer for more than 40 tears and retired from Poe and Associates .

In 1952 he and Dorothy (nee Knizely) married and were blessed with three children Gregory Blaine Hubbard (deceased), Jeffrey Lee Hubbard (deceased) and Brian Hubbard all of Tulsa. In 1963 he bought the house he lived in for the rest of his life. An avid gardener, he was known for growing wonderful tomatoes. His house was within walking distance of his beloved University of Tulsa where his sons happily played pick up games of football and Jack enjoyed Golden Hurricane sports.

Jack is survived by his son Brian, and his sisters Wanda Campbell and Marlene Sirilo. Jack had a great love for his grandchildren Hope Hubbard, Gregory Blaine Hubbard, Lindsay McKenrick and his great-granddaughter Amelia Grace. He is also survived by a host of much loved nieces, nephews, friends and pets.

A celebration of Jack's life will take place at Eastside Christian church 1438 S. Indianapolis in Tulsa at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 27. Please come and share your memories of Jack with his family. Jack's easy smile and kindness will be missed by all who had the honor to know him.
