Jack LaRue LaPorte, 83, of Tulsa, passed away Monday, June 10, 2019. He was born March 1, 1936 in Sand Springs, OK to Charles and Reva Ione LaPorte. He was a retired plate shop crew chief for American Airlines and a member of the Garnett Moose Lodge. He enjoyed hunting for arrowheads and rocks, woodworking, fishing, metal detecting and bottle hunting. Jack is survived by his wife of 64 1/2 years, Dorothy LaPorte; his daughters, Karen Logsdon of Tulsa, Kristie Messick of Owasso; four grandchildren, Ryan Logsdon, Randi Logsdon and spouse Marlon Guess, Daniel Messick, Matthew Messick; nine great grandchildren and his brother, Charles Andre LaPorte and his spouse Claire of Sand Springs. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his half brother, Tommy Stufflebeem.
