Obituary

Jackie Dwayne Byrom
was born April 17, 1947 in Osage Oklahoma to Jack and Ava Byrom. Heaven was rejoicing when Jackie walked through the gates of heaven to hug his savior Jesus Christ and big Danny on July 28, 2021.

Jackie Byrom has two sons: Darrell and Brenda Byrom of Jenks; Daniel and Christel Byrom of Glenpool; two daughters: Jeana and Anthony Faddis and Jacci and Jeff Tyer all of Tahlequah; He has seventeen (17) grandchildren and three (3) great grandchildren; eight (8) sisters: Shirley Sasser, Barbara Gibson, Sandra Hill, Carol Smith, Peggy Robison, Debra Whitney, and Sherry Pope and one (1)brother Kenny Byrom.

Jackie was preceded in death by his son Daniel Dwayne Byrom (Big Danny), and two brothers Pete and Jimmy Byrom.

From a young age, Jackie was a second generation drywall finisher and contractor for 40 plus years in the Tulsa area. He also loved to buy and sell: always looking for a good deal. Jackie collected antiques and could not go a weekend without hitting every pawn shop and flea market in town. He would leave the house with an empty truck and more often than not would come home with it full of antiques and toys and trinkets for himself, his children and his grandchildren. For the last 5 years Jackie has been living out his dream buying and selling used cars, trucks and trailers with his sons.

Jackie loved to sing and loved southern gospel music. He was in a family group called Soldiers of the Cross where he sang and played the accordion. His kids and grandkids loved to hear him sing at family get togethers throughout the years.

Jackie loved his kids and his grandkids. He loved spending time with them and often took his grandkids to the flea markets with him where he taught them how to make deals not just pay what the asking price was.

Jackie was known by his children as the number 1 aggravator; teaching each one of his children and grandchildren how to expertly pass along trait.

Jackie loved to leave town with his sons in search of a good deal or vehicle and loved good food! He would be so excited to stop at the Amish Kitchen and Cattleman's.

Jackie Byrom will be greatly missed.
