Jackie King, 84, of Tulsa died Wednesday, December 8, 2021 in Tulsa. She was born February 23, 1937 in Forgan (near Beaver), OK to Fred and Delia Hodges Sprague.
Jackie attended University of Oklahoma pursuing a degree in Journalism. She later worked as an accountant at Willbros Engineers in Tulsa and after retiring focused on her passion for writing. She was a member of Tulsa NightWriters and published short stories in magazines as well as a series of novellas including the Foxy Hens series and most recently her series starting with "The Inconvenient Corpse". She was preceded in death by her parents; a son John David King; a brother, J. D. Sprague; and a sister Joan McNeely. Survivors include 2 daughters, Susan (Rick) Keithley of Tulsa and Jennifer (Jim) Sohl of Jenks; 3 grandchildren, Lauren Keithley, Justin Sohl, and Morgan Sohl; and a daughter-in-law, Amanda Horn.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 10th, 2021 - 2:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa.
