In Loving Memory: Jacquelyn Sue (Hawkins) Moore
Jacquelyn "Jackie" Sue Moore, nee Hawkins, of Monkey Island, Oklahoma, born in Crawfordsville, Indiana, on April 20, 1935, and passed from this life on July 26, 2025. Raised in Crawfordsville, Jackie carried the values and spirit of her hometown throughout her life and to her family with wit, fun and love.
Trained as a registered nurse, Jackie enjoyed a productive and satisfying career with significant achievements. She was one of the founders of Tulsa Outpatient Surgery Center, the first of its kind in the Four State Area. Jackie was an integral participant in the planning, development and management of the facility. Following the great success of this achievement, she was recruited for her expertise in the planning and development of the Outpatient Surgery Center at Springer Clinic in Tulsa. From boots on the ground in the design/build of the facility to becoming Director and limited partner. Her role was vital, once again, to the success of the outpatient surgery center.
Jackie took great joy in the everyday magic of family time, especially cozy evenings at the round dinner table where meals became moments and laughter lingered long after the plates were cleared. Though sports weren't her natural forte, she wholeheartedly joined her husband in activities that brought joy, always choosing connection over competition.
Jackie's mind was always engaged as she found quiet satisfaction in the challenge of doing crossword puzzles in ink. She welcomed the mental adventure each clue provided, a reflection of her thoughtful nature. Alongside puzzles, she relished the simple pleasure of sharing a glass of wine, or two, with loved ones, savouring not just the taste but the stories, warmth, and time it represented.
Jackie's life was one of thoughtful celebration - of others, of family, of togetherness. Her legacy is not just in the years she lived, but in the depth of love she gave and the memories she helped shape. Her story continues in the lives of those she nurtured, those she taught, and those who will forever remember the light she shared.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Jack Moore, their five children, Dan (Steph), Denise (Bert), David (Cheryl), Chris (Rhonda), and Tim (Betty), fourteen cherished grandchildren, nine beloved great-grandchildren, and her two dear sisters, Shirley and Jane. She also leaves behind extended family and lifelong friends whose lives she touched with enduring kindness and joy.
