Jacque Lee Herron, 83, of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jackie was born on March 6, 1936, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to the late Helen and Herman Moore. She was a graduate of Skiatook High School.

On January 24, 1957, Jackie married Ed Herron and they celebrated their 62 nd wedding anniversary in 2012. The love and admiration they had for each other seemed unmatched.

Jackie's kindness and concern for others enabled her to make friends with so many people. For those of us who knew her, our lives have been enriched by her generosity. She was known for her "care package" gift bags that were always full of love and surprises. She enjoyed reading and watching her favorite television shows. She loved sporting events. She looked forward to working the Mays County elections. She was a collector of many things. She was an avid rock collector, but only selected rock specimens that she titled as "characted' rocks. That included just about everything that was the size of her foot or smaller. She and her husband, Ed, were conscientious supporters of all of their children's activities while they were in school. Jackie had memorable adventures traveling in their RV with her family; camping, family reunions and hunting trips. She loved her family dearly.

She was preceded in death by her adoring husband, Edward Gilbert Herron, Jr.; her father and mother, Helen and Herman Moore, and an infant son, Steven Kent Herron.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Bobbette Hamilton and Dan of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, James Herron and Vickie of Coweta, Oklahoma, Brant Herron and Lisa of Claremore, Oklahoma and Eddie Herron and Gina of Lawrenceville, Georgia. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Ann Cummings of Norman, Oklahoma, and her brother, William Philip Moore and Anna of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Grandchildren: Gideon Hamilton, Christy Terry, Broc Herron, Dre Herron, Lizy Andrews, and Jason Champlain. Great Grandchildren: Seth Terry, Colton Champlain, Matthew Champlain, Zoey Champlain, Violet Herron, Kashius Andrews, and Jody Andrews. Jackie had a very beloved cousin, Catherine Lane and many other loving relatives, special friends and neighbors.

She will be greatly missed. Please remember her kindness and sweet smile.
