James "Jim" Theodore Adams of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 18, after a brief illness. Born on August 4, 1954, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Jim was the middle child of Bob and Harriet Adams. His early years were spent in Boca Raton, Florida where he attended Admiral Farragut Academy in St. Petersburg for high school.

Jim's life was marked by service and dedication. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served with honor as an aviation ordnance technician aboard the USS Franklin Roosevelt and in Oceania, Virginia. Following his honorable discharge, Jim began his civilian career in Atlanta, Georgia with Hilti International, which later brought him to Tulsa, Oklahoma.

In November 1985, Jim was blessed with the birth of his beautiful daughter, Jamie. In Tulsa he worked for Manhattan Construction, managing large equipment including cranes. His life was further enriched when he married the love of his life, Carol, in November 2003, with whom he shared many happy years.

Jim is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Bob and Harriet. He is survived by his devoted wife, Carol; his daughter, Jamie; his stepson, Michael and wife Karly; his sisters, Karen Montgomery and Marty Miller and her husband Dana.

In lieu of a service, the family requests donations to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. They extend their heartfelt gratitude to the St. Francis Cancer Center staff for their compassionate care during Jim's illness. Jim's kindness, strength, and love will be forever remembered by all who knew him.
