James Daniel Charette, 73, of Broken Arrow died on Saturday, September 3, 2022 in Tulsa. He was born November 15, 1948 in Lewiston, ME to Albert Joseph and Mildred Marie Ayotte Charette. He married his wife Gloria in Broken Arrow on August 12, 2006.
He was a career military serviceman, having retired from the US Army as a Staff Sergeant. His tour of duties included serving in Operation Desert Storm.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Willette. He is survived by daughter Yvonne Doyle of Connecticut, son Daniel Charette of Florida, son John Charette of Florida, daughter Shauna Charette of Arizona, daughter Kori Pelletier of Arizona, daughter Michelle Charette of New York, son James Charette of New York, and step-daughters Jayme Vecsey of Virginia, Jenni Montgomery of Oklahoma and Patrica Calvert of California; several grandchildren and step-grandchildren; brothers Russell Charette of Maine, Wayne Charette of Florida; sisters Claudia Charette of California, Liz Hair of Virginia and Debra Crook of Florida; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be at Moore Southlawn Chapel on Thursday 5-7 PM. A rosary will be on Friday, September 9th at 10 AM, followed by a 10:30 funeral mass at St. Anne Catholic Church, Broken Arrow. Interment will follow at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery with military honors.
