James Ellis Cox, 56, died August 11th, 2014. James was born in Fayetteville, NC, August 5th, 1958 to Louise Wilson Milton Cox.

James graduated in 1978 from Okmulgee State Tech and became part owner and VP of Sales for Postal Technologies, INC. He later retired in 2000. He resided in Broken Arrow, OK with long time girlfriend Nikki Darlene Marlar since 2007.

He is survived by: Longtime girlfriend Nikki Darlene Marlar of Broken Arrow, OK; son Brian Cox and wife Candice, grandchildren Kyle Dawn and Kiera Lynn of Broken Arrow, OK; daughter Crystal Cox of San Antonio, TX; son Justin Miller of Claremore, OK; brother Ray Morris and wife Robin of Chelsa, OK; sister Lugenia Calixto of Tulsa, OK.

James is preceded in death by his mother, Louise Wilson Milton Cox.

His favorite past times were traveling, spending time at the lake, fishing, water and snow skiing, and spending time with his grand babies.

Viewing is scheduled for Thursday, August 14, 2014, from noon to 3 PM at Moore Funeral Home - Southlawn Chapel, 9350 East 51st, Tulsa, OK. A memorial to celebrate James's life will be held after viewing at Brian and Candice Cox's home in Broken Arrow, OK.
