Obituary
James T. Cox, Jr, 82, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014 in Broken Arrow, OK. He was born July 27, 1932, in Glenpool, OK to James T. Cox, Sr. and Opal Edna (Wilson) Cox.
A Korean War Army veteran, he was a retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He married Ada Bonnieve Haynes on May 7, 1952 in Tulsa.
Besides his parents, he was preceeded in death by sisters Patsy Wilborn and Laverne Gipson; and a brother Don Cox.
In addition to his wife Ada, he is survived by 5 daughters, Kandia R. (Allen) Thurman, Lu Ann (Dan) Lancaster, Darla J. (Bob) Aycock, Jana L. (Page) Keck and Keri D. (Tony) Stevens; a son, Dennis J. Cox; A brother, Glen (Benita) Cox, a sister, Linda (Glen) Keller; 15 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014 - 10AM until 8 PM at the Moore Southlawn Chapel, Tulsa. Funeral services will be on Wednesday Nov. 5, 2014 – 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Bixby Cemetery.
