James Lester Davidson, 80 years of age, of Sapulpa, OK, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019. He was born June 10, 1938, in Seminole, OK to James Warren and Pauline Davidson. Lester had worked for the Sapulpa Herald as a younger man and was retired from the Tulsa Police Department. After his retirement he worked for OSU Medical Center in the security department.

Lester is survived by his wife of 51 years, JoAnn Davidson; his children, Connie Davidson Sloan, Wayne Davidson, Melinda and her husband, Dustin Wood; his stepchildren, Sonja Padgett, Shelly Darby, Dianne Seat and her husband, Murray; his grandchildren, Melissa and her husband, Bobby Welch, Crystal Davidson, Hailee Davidson, Greg Hay, Dustin Darby and Kenny; four great-grandchildren, Sierra, Zachary, Payton and Gracelynn; his sister, Ardy and her husband, Johnny Kidd; his niece, Lori and her husband, Bobby Duncan; his nephew, Nick Kidd and his wife, Anissa; his great-nieces, Nicki, Jennifer, Sami and Molly Duncan, Bailey Kidd and Robin Owens; his great,nephews, Mason and Rees Kidd and David Owens, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Steve Davidson; his brother, Lawrence and his sister, Wilma.
