James Hugh "Jim" Dickson passed away January 18th, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jim was born November 24th, 1932 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to his loving parents Hugh and Mona Ruth Dickson.
Jim grew up on the move as his father was in the oil business. After his beginning in Ardmore he lived in Amarillo, Wichita Falls, Oklahoma City, Houston and Tulsa where he graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1951. In 1955 he graduated from Oklahoma A&M where he was a member of the Blue Key Honor Society and the Sigma Nu fraternity.
Jim married and raised two daughters with his high school sweetheart, Rosalie Walton, who preceded him in death in 1989.
He married Jane Orman and they lived on Lake Keystone until a stroke precipitated a transition to Inverness Village in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2016.
Survivors include his Jane in Tulsa, daughters Dawn Moroch of Dallas, TX and Angela Gliedt of San Antonio, TX, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Jim, a proud son of Oklahoma, loved his family, his good buddies, planting trees and working in his garden, terrorizing catfish and a hamburger with a cold beer. He hopes you will smile when you think of him.
Due to the current conditions a memorial service will be held at a later date.
