James "Hippie" Garrett

James Robert Garrett, 78, Tulsa resident, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022. He was born April 25, 1944, to Duane Robert Garrett and Virginia Mae (Pierce) Garrett in Guthrie, Oklahoma. James began working as a mechanic, but shortly changed to truck driving. He went all over the United States and made several trips into Canada. James enjoyed leather working and mechanical projects. He is preceded in death by his parents, beloved wives, Dottie and Joanne, daughter, Lisa Dake, granddaughter, Nicole Becnel and brother Doyle Garrett. James is survived by his daughters, Jeana Drew, her spouse, David of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Julie Garrett of Tulsa, Oklahoma, sons, James Garrett, Jr., his spouse, April of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and David Roberts, his fiance, Angela Williams of Tulsa, Oklahoma, his sister, Donnita Hall of Duncan, Oklahoma, 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, his beloved girlfriend, Scarlet Brown of Tulsa, Oklahoma and her children; Eva Emerson, her spouse, Mo of Checotah, Oklahoma and Clinton Dyer, his spouse Tommie of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Moore's Eastlawn Chapel, 1908 South Memorial Dr. Tulsa, Oklahoma 74112, 918-622-1155.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2022, at Moore's Eastlawn Chapel.

Interment: 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2022, at Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
