James Dee Genet, Jr., 47 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born September 5, 1968 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a son of James Dee Genet, Sr. and Doris Jean Atwood.
James was a father to four amazing children Zachary, Ciara, Isaiah and Avery. He was a son, brother and a friend to many. James was a very very sociable man and never in his life did he meet a stranger. He would strike up a conversation with anyone and everyone at every opportunity available some of which probably included public bathrooms. Yes, he loved to talk that much. He was very loving to all who knew him and enjoyed life. Some of his best qualities was that he loved conversation, dancing to hip hop music, making other people laugh and summers cooking on the grill just to name a few things. Some would even say he made the best BBQ chicken around. James was a happy man and was always positive through the ups and downs of life and always chose to look at the positive in everything. He loved to go places and it didn't matter where as long as he was going. He loved to spend time camping at the lake with family and friends. He loved to visit the beach in Galveston in with his family. James was always a giver of anything and everything. He would give away the shirt off his back and sometimes others. May he always be remembered for his smile, generous heart and ability to always make us laugh.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Moore Funeral Home, Southlawn Chapel located at 9350 E. 51st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145.
