On July 8th 2024 in the afternoon James (J.L.) Leroy Grimes passed suddenly from a massive heart attack at the age of 58 in Owasso Oklahoma and was pronounced dead at St. John's Owasso respectfully 3 months after the death of his mother(Judy Grimes/Largent.

James L Grimes Jr. was born in Tulsa Oklahoma
On July 15th 1965 to the late James and Judy Grimes. He is remembered as a loving Father and beloved truck driver for O'Reillys and a proud Cherokee native.

He cared deeply for other people. He didn't hesitate while on the clock to save the life of a child while doing his route.

His death is a profound loss for his family, friends and co-workers.

He is also survived by his wife Shannon Brand, also survived by his two sons & daughters James Raymond "Noodles/Junior"Grimes and Jeffery Owen Steele, April Coffee. step children Joshua Brand, Jacob Brand, and Ashley Brand along with 3 grandchildren.

He also has two surviving sisters Brandy and Tana, uncle Darrell, aunt Teresa, Rae Ella, Ronnie Largent, Terry Largent, Remembering grandpa and grandma Margie and William Grimes . Remembering grandma Helen and grandpa Owen Largent. Lots of uncles and aunts,niece & nephews.
