GWARTNEY, James E., 78, passed away Monday, April 20, 2015 in Tulsa, OK.
Born November 15, 1936 in Tulsa, OK to William R. and Pauline (Caudle) Gwartney.
He was a retired aeronautical engineer for Boeing. Member of Southwood Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his first wife of 52 years, Patsy Lee Gwartney; sister, Pat Brinlee. Survived by his wife, Norma Sue Gwartney of the home; sons, Mike (Cheryl) Gwartney and Rod Gwartney (Kathleen Kelly) ; daughter, Teresa Schaefer (Paul); brother, William "Bill" Gwartney (Ruth) and of Tulsa, OK; grandsons, Nathan Gwartney, Adam Gwartney, Chris & Debbie Schaefer, Paul Jr. & Beth Schaefer, Jimmy and Julie Schaefer, Brad Gwartney, Joel Gwartney, and Matt Gwartney, and numerous great-grandchildren. He was loved by his extended family and life-long friends, and he leaves them all richer for having known him. Visitation will be 5-7 P.M., Friday, April 24, 2015 at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK.
