In Memory of James "Jim" Hanlon

James Marvin "Jim" Hanlon, 91, longtime resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma died July 7, 2025.
Jim was born on a farm in Ellis County, Oklahoma, where his parents homesteaded in the early 1900's. Jim was proud of his service in the U. S. Army. Jim retired from Industrial Vehicles Incorporated and previously had worked for Bendix Corporation. In his work, he traveled extensively on all the continents. He took pride in his work and the friendships he built.
Jim was thoughtful, quietly generous, and had great curiosity as well as a wonderful dry wit. Outside of work, Jim was a man of many interests. He enjoyed gardening, reading, dogs, museums, estate sales, and he relished time with his friends. He was a longtime member of the Holy Family Cathedral Parish in Tulsa.
Jim is survived by his many nieces and nephews. His ashes will be interred in the family plot at the Harmon Cemetery in Ellis County, Oklahoma.
