James Arthur Horn, 87, passed away in Tulsa, OK on September 1, 2023. He was born November 15, 1935 in Shawnee, OK to Ben Arthur Horn and Elsie Virginia (Kerns) Horn.

James received a Master's Degree in Engineering and went on to work as a Civil Engineer with U.S. Corp of Engineers. He married the love of his life, Tressa Mariott, in Seminole, OK on August 12, 1972. James and Tressa were married for 51 years and loved traveling together. James enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was a longtime member of Asbury Church, Tulsa.

He was predeceased in death by his parents, Ben and Elsie Horn; son, Jimmy Keith Vermillion; daughter, Lynn Kimball and special Aunt Doey Kerns. James is survived by his loving wife, Tressa Horn; daughters, Patti Vermillion Rizatto and her husband, Tony of Owasso, OK, Belinda Marie Francois and her husband, Brian of St. Rose, IL, Missy Horn and Debbie Hallum both of Ada, OK; sons, Jack Ray Vermillion of Tulsa, OK, Jerry Allen Vermillion of Tulsa, OK and Steve James Horn of Dallas, TX, 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 10:00 am at Asbury Church - Mason Chapel. In lieu of flowers, James requested donations be made to Alzheimer's Association Oklahoma Chapter https://www.alz.org/get-involved-now/donate
