James "Jim" A Brandenburg June 29, 1926 � December 29, 2014
Jim Brandenburg, a Tulsan for 57 years, passed away peacefully and went to be with his Lord on December 29, 2014. As a loving father and grandfather and a true friend, Jim's quick wit and sense of humor always brightened every room.
Jim was born in Ralston, Oklahoma to Lee and Ora Brandenburg. Jim earned a Chemistry degree from OSU and a Pharmacy degree from SWOSU. He served as a United States Marine during World War II in the Japanese front and was honorably discharged. As a pharmacist for more than thirty years, Jim served others faithfully. Jim was a long-time active member of Community Christian Church and achieved the honor of 32nd Degree of Freemasonry and was active in the Tulsa Scottish Rite Lodge for decades.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Sheila Brandenburg Britt of Tulsa, and his grandson, James Michael, and his daughter and son-in law Debbie and David Carman of Tulsa, and his grandchildren, Rachel, Katie, and Zac, and his sister, Barbara Rehorn of Ralston. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Calleen Brandenburg, and his parents.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Community Christian Church at 8920 East 31st Street in Tulsa on January 10, 2015, at 9:30 am. The visitation will be January 9, 2015 at Southlawn from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233 share memories at www.moorefuneral.com
