Jim Lewis was born December 21st, 1932 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma and died in Tulsa, Oklahoma on May 12th, 2019.
Jim was preceded in death by parents Olan and Lilly Lewis and one son Sigmund Lewis. He is survived by his wife, also known as his baby, Betty Anita Lewis, one son Greg Woodard, daughter-in-law Cinda Woodard and three grandchildren Christian Lewis, Alicia Zayas, Nathan Woodard and several nieces and nephews.
Jim attended Home Church and was educated with a Bachelor of Science degree at Oklahoma University. After spending three years in pre-med he decided he would go the way of his father in business and continued the family tradition of groceries as an executive for an Oklahoma run grocery wholesaler and distribution company for 47 years.
He served in the US military as a sergeant and artillery trainer as a sharpshooting teacher from 1950 to 1953 and continued his military reserves until honorably discharged in 1961. He was a volunteer with the sheriff's department of Tulsa County and served in various capacities as a member of Rotary Club.
He loved people, golfing and guns but more than anything he love to travel and be with his baby.

Visitation will be 10AM-8PM, Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK. Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, Tulsa, OK with graveside and reception to follow. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
