BURDGE, James Lee "Jim", Tulsa resident, (71) passed away peacefully at Hillcrest Medical Center late Tuesday evening, August 9th, after a short battle with mantle cell lymphoma.
Jim was a well-known political consultant, who had managed the campaigns of numerous local and state politicians over the past three decades. Jim was a graduate of Glenwood Springs High School (Colorado) Class of '63, and a United States Marine Corps veteran, having served with honor and valor in Vietnam earning several combat citations and the Purple Heart.
Jim is survived by his three children: Stormy L. Langston (husband, Terry) of Eureka, MT; Michelle D. Ford of Manchester, NH; and James C. Burdge (wife, Heather) of Albuquerque, NM. He is also survived by his brothers: Joseph W. Burdge of Modesto, CA; and Mark D. Burdge of Albuquerque, NM. Jim's life was made joyous and whole by his five grandchildren: John Lally, Michael Lally, Christian Langston, Aidan Burdge and Ivy Burdge. Jim is also survived by his step-father, friend and mentor, Fred Taake, of Lakewood, CO.
A celebration of life for local friends in Tulsa will be announced at a later date. Cremains will be interred at Ft. Logan Military Cemetery in Denver, CO, in October.
