James Osborne was born January 28th, 1936 to William Ernest Osborne and Adell Lorraine Tye. He graduated to glory on July 12th, 2016 at the age of 80 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 siblings. W. T. Osborne, Richard Osborne, and Billie Frank Stone. He was met by his wife Alma Osborne and daughter Melissa Osborne in glory as soon as he passed from this life. He leaves behind two brothers; Giles Osborne and Jerry Osborne and two sisters; Helen Wilson, and Suzie Smith. His son, Kevin Osborne and daughter-in-law Nella Osborne with their 2 children, Callie and Ben. Also his son, Greg Osborne, and daughter-in-law Natalie and their 3 children, Matthew, Lauren, and Kara. He was also very thankful for his only great granddaughter, Camden.
James enlisted in the Army on March 1st, 1958, and served his country in the 121st MP Company, Ft Chaffee, Arkansas, until his Honorable Discharge, April 8th, 1964.
He worked at CE Natco as a welder for 24 years, then went to work for American Airlines as an Air Frame Technician until his retirement in 2002.
On Sunday and Wednesday evenings, you would find him and his family at Immanuel Baptist Church. In his later years he attended First Baptist of Broken Arrow rejoicing in the Lord. James loved the outdoors and spent his spare time camping with relatives and close friends. He was a wonderful dancer and at one time belonged to 3 local square dance clubs. He loved playing dominos and swinging on the back porch with his grandchildren. His love to the Lord and fierce devotion to his family was evident in every aspect of his life. James led the family down a most noble path.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M., Friday, July 15, 2016 at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK. Service will be 12 Noon, Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
