Obituary
James "Harley" Reed, 72, died Thursday, March 17, 2016. Harley was born May 3, 1943, in Tulsa, OK, to John Earl & Virginia R. (Shaw) Reed.
Harley was a 10th grade graduate of Central. After school he started as an auto mechanic and married Bonita June Wally. They had 2 kids, James Darrell Reed and Teresa Lynn Reed. He divorced Bonita in 1968. He met Darline Short shortly after and they were married on 7-2-1972. Harley bought his own automotive shop in 1980 where he rebuilt engines and worked on cars. The only thing he loved better than cars was fishing. In 2010 he retired to the home they built together in Salina, OK.
Harley is survived by his spouse, Darline; son, James Darrell Reed; brothers, Johnny and Roy Reed. He had a multitude of grandkids and great grandkids along with numerous nieces and nephews, Way Too Many To List, which he loved them all as if they were his own kids.
Visitation will be all day Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 East 51st St., Tulsa, Oklahoma. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, Moore's Southlawn Chapel with interment in Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
