James Richard "Rick" Caswell, 84 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away on July 29th, 2025.
Rick was born on July 20th 1941 in Oklahoma City, to G.E. and Ruth Caswell. Rick grew up in Tulsa and graduated from Edison High School. (Proud member of Edison's second graduating class) Rick attended Oklahoma State University and Northeastern State University. Rick also served in the Army Reserves.
Ricks career took him all over the country. He worked as a national salesman before starting his own company, Caswell & Associates. He always enjoyed meeting new people and never met a stranger.
Rick loved many things in life and Harleys, Corvettes, Volkswagen Bugs were amongst a few of the items he would collect over the years. However, his greatest love was that for his wife Meredith, family and friends.
Rick lived his life to the fullest, starting his day with breakfast at Savoy with some of his best friends over the years. Then it was off to go find a garage sale and I don't believe him and my mom Meredith ever left a garage sale without something that they had at least five of already. By then it was time to go find a cheeseburger at one of his many favorite places in Tulsa. Only to finish it off with a Braums malt not a shake, never a shake! But only after making sure my mom was happy and comfortable. She always came first. Also finishing his night with random phone calls to old friends and family. He loved to end the call by telling that person to go home and get to bed.
Rick is preceded in death by his wife for over 50 years Meredith and son Doug. Rick is survived by his brother, Scottie, daughter Shelly and husband Eddie, daughter Patricia, son Jason, Grand Daughter Allie and two great grandchildren, Colton and Enzo.
Rick will be in our hearts forever. I hope you all enjoyed the short time we had with him as much as we did.
A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Rick will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Moore Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK. Moore Southlawn 918-663-2233
