James Francis Roach, III beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025, at the age of 94. He leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and deep family bonds.
Born on January 7, 1931, in Manchester Connecticut to Edna and James Roach. Throughout his life, he was known for his strong work ethic, quiet wisdom, and steadfast commitment to family.
On June 28, 1972, James married the love of his life, Marilyn. Together, they shared over five decades of joy, laughter, and unwavering companionship. Whether enjoying lunch dates around town or browsing books at the library, James and Marilyn were rarely apart-building a life rooted in simple pleasures and mutual devotion.
A proud veteran of the Korean War, James dedicated his entire career to IBM. His work took him and his family across the country, but his commitment never wavered. Eventually, he and Marilyn settled in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where they built a warm and welcoming home.
James was a devoted father. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Marilyn and children Theresa, Patricia, and Michael. He is survived by his children Richard, Kathy, and Marianne, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom he deeply adored. James cherished staying connected with family-often calling just to check in, share a laugh, or offer a kind word.
A lifelong basketball enthusiast, James found joy in the game and the memories it held. But above all, it was his family that brought him the greatest happiness. His gentle presence, steady support, and enduring love will be profoundly missed.
A private memorial will be held by the family to honor and celebrate James's life.
