Obituary

James "Jim" Allen Williamson, 85, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 22, 2018 in Tulsa, OK. He was born on May 9, 1933 to Theodore Aubrey Williamson and Verda Margarite Bartolina Williamson in Tulsa, OK. Jim was an Estimator for North American Rockwell, and was proud to have served in the Navy Reserves. He enjoyed sports, bowling and golf. Jim was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, and active in the Knights of Columbus. He had a steadfast faith in God, which never wavered under any circumstance. Jim loved people, had a sweet, giving spirit, and was known for his countless acts of generosity and kindness, many of which we will never know. He always put others first, and did volunteer work for the Special Olympics and the Knights of Columbus. Jim enjoyed spending time with family and friends, always had a story to tell, and never met a stranger. He was a handsome man, known for his smile, quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. This was evidenced, when some of his family were recently surprised to learn that he liked watching The Swamp Man on television. Jim was a kind, gentle, compassionate man, which was exemplified by his selfless caring of his dear friend and long-time companion of 16 years, Kay McAuliff. He is survived by his daughter, Donna Marie Neely and husband, Kerry of Tulsa, OK; son, Danny Lee Williamson of Tulsa, OK; stepson, Mike Bell of Coweta, OK; 2 stepdaughters, Cindy Ford and husband, Michael of Tulsa, OK, Teresa Briggs of Tulsa, OK; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Ted Williamson of Oklahoma City, OK; many nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Mary Louise Williamson. Jim will be greatly missed in the days ahead, but his spirit and memories will live on within each of us because we were privileged to have him in our lives.
