James Wesley Wolfe, 94, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2021. James was born on June 4, 1926 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Jesse and Mary Wolfe.
James served in the Army during WWII where he did his basic training in Fort Riley, Kansas. He was then sent to Camp Anza in Riverside, California before he was assigned to go overseas at CBI (China, Burma, India). James married his wife Virginia on November 14, 1953.
He retired from Rockwell International as a lead layout man in the machine shop where he worked on the Apollo 13, the space shuttle, B1 Bomber and numerous other aircrafts. James had a passion for the Lord, his family and farming. In his spare time he loved bird and deer hunting, fishing, and playing his harmonica, guitar and fiddle.
James was preceded in death by his wife Virginia on June 8, 2013. He is survived by four children: Carol Cocanougher, Joyce Tripp, David Wolfe, Janet Honeywell and host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with and he will be missed dearly.
