James Sterling Little was born November 11, 1921 in Wilburton, Oklahoma and died September 29, 2022. His parents were John Edgar Little and Celia Mabel(Haynes)Little.
The family moved to Mount Vernon, Illinois where Jim spent his senior year of high school. After high school he joined the Air Corps, now Air Force, and was stationed at Puerta Rico and Virgin Islands until World War II. He served in England, France and Belguim with the 374th Fighter Squadron, 361st Fighter Group.
He worked a long time as an abstracter, realtor and landman. He, with several partners, developed Meadowood Addition at Keystone Lake.
He was a long time member of the Downtown Lions Club and Kirk of The Hills Church. He was sometimes called the candy man as he always had a pocket full of candy ready to share.
He was predeceased by his parents, brother John Little, sisters Dorothy Little, Clara Sharpe, June Eggner, Ruth Carlson, daughter Rebecca Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, son James S. Little, Jr daughters Jamie Williams and Lisa Comer, brother Loy Little, 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held October 6, 2022.
