Jan Butler McNatt, cherished mother, grandmother and dear friend, 76, Miami Lakes, FL, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2017, surrounded by her three children Kimberly, Dawn and Arthur. Born September 23, 1941, Jan grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Santa Barbara, California before moving to Tulsa and attending Central High. Jan began college at Stephen's in Missouri, before transferring to Tulsa, University, where she was Track Queen, a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and met the love of her life, Art McNatt whom everyone called "Butch". Butch, a pilot with National, Pan Am and Delta Airlines and Jan decided to move to Miami, Florida in the 70s where she contributed to junior women's groups and raised her three children. Butch predeceased her in 1994.
Jan's greatest joy was being with her children and their families to whom she dedicated her life. Her tireless energy led to the nickname of "Scooter", her love of fashion and entertaining always included great taste and a terrific sense of wit. Friends would see her through the years at her favorite place to meet, Beverly Hills Cafe in Miami Lakes. More often than not, Jan was accompanied there by her beloved dogs Sedona, her lab; Indigo her French bulldog and finally Beverly-- whom she rescued and enlisted her dear friend Dennis to walk.
Jan is survived by her daughter Kimberly McNatt, her daughter Dawn McNatt Fraine, her son Arthur McNatt and her two grandchildren Hannah Hall and Kayla Rose.
A graveside service will be 12 Noon, Friday, December 15th at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any charity serving veterans. Moore's Southlawn 918-0663-2233 share memories at
