Jane B. Pernicone was born on April 1st, 1927 in Jamaica, New York and died December 12, 2014. She was the daughter of Victor and Inez Grassberger. She was married to George Pernicone and lived in New York, Arizona, Florida, and Oklahoma. She spent her life working with children as a pre-school teacher and teacher assistant. She was an avid Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Mets fan. She loved animals, knitting, reading, gardening, painting, and sports.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda Shoemaker, married to Steve Shoemaker of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Vicki Heath of Tulsa, Laurie Risi, married to Edward Risi of Coopersburg, Pennsylvania, four grandchildren, Marissa and Matt Shoemaker of Tulsa, Samantha and Haley Risi of Pennsylvania, and sister-in-law Louise Grassberger of Tuscon, Arizona, as well as many
nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, 2014 in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in her name to the
Alzheimer's Association.
