Janet Lynn
Stunkard
Oct 10, 1951 — Jun 24, 2026
Janet Lynn Stunkard passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on October 10, 1951, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, daughter of Charles and Ruby (Kuykendall) Brillhart.
When Janet was in Junior High her family moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she graduated from Memorial High School in 1969. She attended Oklahoma State University with a focus on business courses. After college, she began her working career at Affiliated Food Stores Inc. She eventually moved to ONEOK, Inc. where she was responsible for employee benefits. She retired from there in 2008.
On April 20, 1973, she married the love of her life Terry Stunkard. Together they made their home in Jenks, Oklahoma and raised two daughters, Angie and Kristin
After they retired, Janet and Terry loved spending time together. It didn't matter where they were going or what they were doing as long as they were together. After Terry passed away in 2024, she spent her time traveling, playing with her granddaughters, reading and playing Mah Jong.
She believed in hard work, kindness, and showing up for the people you love. She gave her time, her energy, and her heart freely. Whether through her career, her friendships, or her role as a mother, she lived with generosity and purpose.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Ruby Brillhart, and her mother and father-in-law G.A. and Florence Stunkard.
Janet is survived by her daughters, Angie Snider (Michael) and Kristin Behl. She was a proud MeMe to her two granddaughters Karis Behl and Reagan Snider. She is also survived by her two brothers Doug Brillhart (Linda) and Scott Brillhart, as well as her nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bill Hulet, Bill Bonner, Billy Walker, Mike Ryan, Doyle Bailey and Josh Newberry. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Snider and Morgan Behl.
Funeral Services will be 1:00PM Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the Moore Southlawn Chapel followed by burial at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society, American Cancer Society <http://www.cancer.org>.
