Heaven gained a beautiful soul when Janice Rae Bradshaw, 80, of Catoosa, Oklahoma, entered her eternal rest on September 23, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was born on October 15, 1944, and throughout her life she was known for her kindness, faith, and devotion to her family.
On January 21st 1964 in Stilwell, Oklahoma, Janice married the love of her life, Audie Earl Bradshaw. Together they shared 60 beautiful years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, faith, and family. She was the proud mother of two daughters, Michelle Lyn and Aubrey Metcalf and Debra Kay and Reith Claflin, whose lives were deeply shaped by her guidance and care.
She was also blessed with grandchildren, Avery, Ashlyn, and Micah Metcalf, as well as her greatgranddaughter, Grace Metcalf. For nearly 15 years, she also embraced with great love her three adopted grandchildren, Cinthia, Yazmin, and Kamila Chavez, who brought her immense joy.
Janice graduated from Central High School in Tulsa and went on to earn her degree at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. She devoted over 20 years to teaching Science and History in Catoosa Public and Tulsa Public Schools, where she left a lasting impact on the lives of countless students.
Her dedication to serving others extended beyond the classroom. Janice was a devoted and active member of Lynn Lane Baptist Church, where she faithfully taught Sunday School, led Vacation Bible School, and joyfully participated in every ministry opportunity the church offered. Her deep love for children was evident not only in her teaching but also in the many foster children she and Audie welcomed into their home over the years.
Janice will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her gentle spirit, strong faith, and servant's heart touched everyone who knew her, and her legacy of love will continue through her family and all whose lives she touched.
A service celebrating Janice's life will be held at Lynn Lane Baptist church in Tulsa, Oklahoma at 10:00 am on Monday, September 29. She will be laid to rest at Johnson Cemetery in Colcord, Oklahoma near Natural Falls.
