Janice Lynn Griffith Wolak passed away on February 19, 2025 at her home.
She was born in Yakima, Washington on April 11, 1950.
Janice was daughter of George Oliver Griffith, Jr. and Margaret S. (Johnson) Griffith.
She was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma and graduated from Will Rogers HS in 1968 and later attended Tulsa University.
She worked for the United States Post Office in Tulsa, later working for Warren Petroleum and then Chevron as wholesale credit collections agent.
She was preceded in death by her brother Georgie, both sets of grandparents, her parents, and her husband Michael Bruce Wolak whom she married October 18, 1970, Tulsa, OK.
She was active in racing cars with her husband, participated in gun contests, and was an artist. She volunteered at Green Country Hospice after her husband passed.
She is survived by her sisters and brothers: Margaret Sue Roth (Lawrence) Owasso, Richard L. Griffith (Terri) Claremore, Michael B. Griffith (Diana) Broken Arrow, and Patricia K. Shamlian (Carey) Harlingen, TX. She is, also, survived by her nephews Larry Roth, Jr, (Janice), Jeff Roth (Kristie), Eric Griffith (Jennifer), Chris Griffith (Andrea, Gary Shamlian (Lisa, David Shamlian, and her nieces Teresa Lovelace (David P), and Lisa Brooks (Chris), and her sister-in-law Melanie Wolak Santos and her two children, Marion, MA.
A memorial service will be held later.
